REVEREND CARLOS OCHOA

Ochoa was born in La Luz, Mexico. He attended Seminario Del Senor San Jose in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a master’s degree in theology from the Hispanic Seminary of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City.

Father Carlos Ochoa is associate pastor of St. John-Holy Angels Church in Newark and coordinator of the Hispanic Ministry office of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington.

His congregation at St. John-Holy Angels Church is one of the largest Latino congregations in the state of Delaware. Rev. Carlos Ochoa is involved in organizing events to bring information to Latino immigrants on health, education, immigration, social services, and more.

Fr. Carlos has collaborated with different organizations such as the Mexican Consulate, Christiana Health Care, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, and the Delaware Hispanic Commission, in order to increase access for our growing Hispanic immigrant community.
